ABOUT KALEEL KHAN

I was born at Tameside General Hospital and spent my childhood in St. Peters ward and have lived here ever since.  I went to Holy Trinity C of E Primary School and later attended Hartshead High School.

WHY AM I STANDING TO BE AN INDEPENDENT COUNCILLOR?

I want to change St Peters. I want to offer a voice free from party-political constraints, dedicated solely to the betterment of St. Peters ward and Ashton as a whole.

HOW LABOUR HAS FAILED TAMESIDE

Despite being ranked 28th in England for deprivation, the recent increase in council tax is causing concern among residents. The rise is attributed to financial mismanagement by the Labour Council, leaving residents worried about the impact on struggling families.

MY VISION

My vision is to create a vibrant and safe community where every resident can thrive. I am dedicated to addressing the issues highlighted above that matter most in our neighbourhood, and working collaboratively with residents to implement simple cost-effective solutions.

PALESTINE

In the light of the International Court of Justice ruling on January 26th 2024, the Labour Party’s failure to declare the Israeli actions in Gaza a potential genocide is a disgrace.
